Letter?

Hey, I agree completely that Hunter lived a full and incredible life, I am deeply inspired by him on a fairly regular basis and have read all his fictional work; howeve, it doesn't change the fact that these guys were using drugs at a point in time when the long term effects and stuff were not widely known.

 I am a big fan of William Burroughs as well as HUnter, but one thing I found so fascinating about reading Burroughs is that, if you look into him, you find out that he was actually studying to be a doctor in VIENNA  and everything when he was young. The point is that one part of the reason William managed to ride out a dope habit until he was in his 80s is cause he was LIKE A DOCTOR who actually knew how to properly dose himself with what is medicine. The issue right now is that drugs are not being dosed correctly, if at all, because ...what the hell...they're all illegal, so you just got all these kids without even a high school education  trying to self dose and it's not possible, at all.  Drugs are benig misinterpreted, seen as something tey are not and never have been, because the Americans are filled with all these weird superstitions etc. Hunter Thompson was in an educated circle somewhat beyond this, but it even caught up with him cause the educated people in his time period did not know. 

Now they know, and notice that its not happening to them as badly anymore , you might have noticed, there are no more truly famous upper class ppl like Hunter or BUrroughs with those drug stories arriving to us now, because they got a grip on it for the most part and learned how to properly dose themselves. Notice the way Hunter and Burroughs both -but Hunter especially - sort of experiened a resurgence in pop culture popularity in the late 90s and early 2000s. It was because the low class ppl have finally discovered something these guys were doing 30 years previously you see what Im trying to say? But the NEW Hunter S. Thompson, whoever that same journalist is now, we dont know who he is, casue hes dosing properly, he's not just going balls to the wall  with random binges et cetera. He knows how to tweak the drugs out to get maximum enjoyment without crippling himself or overdosing etc.  That bullshit  has become entirely confined to the "we have nxt to nothing to live for" "uneducated" underclass. Hunter Thompson wasn't really aware in a sense that he was playing with a loaded gun. 

Its ravaging the lower class espeically in USA because the low class americans have no doctors and no health care, nothing. Theyre shooting darts in the dark. Its ridiculous. The Americans are off the ball on a lot of stuff because they dont wanna implement anything at all except like .. "every man for himself". In the long run, say 10-20 years from now, they're gonna be hurting even worse than they are right now, cause its just gonna keep getting worse.  The medical scene in America is so fucked up, they're still performing routine circumcisions . They're throwing knives in the dark out there.
